Challenge 78 - Recycle

This month our challenge theme is 'Recycle'. We want to see what you can make out of something recycled, repurposed or altered in some way - I know this one is going to be fab, I can't wait for you to amaze us with your creations!

I had fun recycling this love hearts tub using Sarah Hurley papers and elements.

Lots of recycling going on here, for more detailed explaination go to my blog.

Jess

I have recycled a matchbox to make a Memory Snapshot Box to keep treasures in!!

I recycled an old picture frame I found in a drawer into a handy but pretty memo board. I forgot to take a before picture d'oh! I used lots of items from the "My Favourite Things" February kit, more details on my blog.

I took the glass out of a magnet I've had hanging around for ages and decorated it for Mother's Day using My Favourite Things kit.

I recycled the corrugated card from a cardboard box on this layout and used papers from Sarah's Belle & Alfie kit as well as some pieces from Sarah's Embellishment kits.

My recycled item is the grey cardboard which I saved from some packaging. I've made a little folder to store my card sketches in and decorated it with papers from Sarah's Curio Digi Kit and embellishments available in Sarah's Etsy store.

We look forward to seeing your projects - you have until midnight on 30th March to enter - just click below to submit your link!

Wowee, firstly I'd like to say thank you to everyone who entered my challenge. The response was fantastic. I was amazed at the amount of talent on offer and it made my job of choosing the winners very hard.

Anyway, I had to choose three winners and so here they are.

1  Sandra Janssen - #53 who's gorgeous box wasn't only decorated outside but inside too.

2  Merkari - #55 because I can't resist a mini book.

3  Indira - #90 for the gorgeous and most unusual wagon. Great attention to detail.

Email Sarah for blog badges and prizes at info@sarahhurley.com

To everyone else thank you again for entering.

Challenge 77 - Anything but a Card!

Jaine here bringing you the latest challenge.
For this one you can create anything you like as long as it's not a card.  It may be a scrapbook layout, album, altered art, tag etc but please no cards.
Below is some dt inspiration.

This is mine and I've made a page in my smash book.  All the journaling spots are from the Documented range and the badge and a couple of the cards are from Sarah's ephemera packs.

I have used the I love Paris kit to make a notebook, I printed the papers and elements on printable canvas and varnished them to make the notebook life proof! :-)

I used a bunch of elements and scraps to create a fun tag for this challenge. I used some cute burlap and stapled it to my tag base and then embellished with some butterflies die cut from some wood grain self adhesive paper.

I've altered a sign which has been in my to do basket for months. I've really mixed up Sarah's paper collections here using Santa's Workshop for the Kraft Polka Dot H, Retro Home for the Pink O, Heritage for the cream stripy M & Craft Basics Pastel Chevrons for the blue E.

I made a mini book and embellished it using Sarah's Expedition Kit (except the globe on the front from Back to School). On some of the pages I've also used some of Sarah's embellishments- tickets, card and moustache. There are more pictures of the mini book on my blog.

I have made a pretty little candle, using the I Love Paris kit.  I used my graphics software to overlay the frame with the beautiful rose.  I printed onto tissue paper and used some fairy dust and a magic spell ;) to put it onto the candle.

Carol

I used the fabulous Wonderland digi kit to alter this brown paper bag, I used a doily from the Craft Ephemera kit to sit Alice on.

Challenge 76 - Celebrate!

Challenge 76 - Celebrate

This month our challenge theme is 'Celebrate'. We want to see your creations that are celebrating - they can be a celebration of the new year, birthdays, anniversaries, anything you like! We can't wait to see all your celebration entries and see how you all celebrate in style :D

I created this layout to celebrate some of the simple moments in life and how silly little moments can be so full of memories!

Jaine
I used two of my favourite digi kits from 2012 which are Say Cheese and New Directions plus a dashed border and ink splats from the digital journaling kit to celebrate my family.

I created this birthday card using Sarah's Steampunk Collection & some chipboard stars...

My card is for a 21st Birthday and was created using scraps left over from a mix of Sarah's kits (I think Craft Basics and Santa's Workshop!). The badge, doily, and chipboard shapes are all from Sarah's Etsy store.

My card is for someone who has passed their driving test. I used a fab mini digi stamp from the Britannia kit, coloured it and layered it onto a map. The black and white honeycomb paper and the "chequered flag" are from Black & White Scrap Basics.

My card is to celebrate the New Year by bringing to some cheer to one of my friends. I used the English Country Garden kit and Butterflies from the Fairyland Craft CD.

My card is a birthday card for a Paris mad friend! I used the I Love Paris kit which was perfect. I love the teal paper with little Eiffel Towers.

Jess

This is my challenge entry. You can't see in the New Year without 'a wee dram', so I've created a little favour box which secretly holds a Whiskey miniature!!!!!! I've used papers from the fabulous Pic Nic In The Park Digi Kit, some die cut shapes and a loo roll middle!! Hope you like it.

This is a birthday gift bag and what better way to celebrate than
with a handmade treat!
I used a little bit of the Valentine line coming up along with
Retro Home journaling tag, Steampunk phrase tags, and some Curio mixed in there.

Natalie

I went stamp crazy! Made this card using Sarah's black ink pad, her laser cut embellishments and Retro Home Kit scraps.

Challenge 75 - Christmas!

The theme this month is of course, Christmas! maybe a cliche, but for me, this really is the most wonderful time of the year and I can't wait to browse all of your beautiful Christmas projects over a nice cup of hot chocolate! :o)

Here is the inspiration from my lovely Design Team...

I made a gift box using paper and embellishments from Santa's Workshop and a template from Craft Artist.

I used the Santa's Workshop kit to make my card and layered some of the pieces up to add dimension.

I made this really quick little Christmas card using Sarah's Santa's Workshop collection. I just printed out the Polaroid photos of Santa & friends really small (2in x 2in) then attached them to the card with foam pads & added a little Merry Christmas banner.

I used the Christmas Craft Basics star paper to creat the perfect background for a little Christmas scene! The paper especially the colour was just perfect for this!
Lisa

I have used papers from both the Tinseltown and Santas Workshop kit to create a traditional coloured Christmas card.

I used papers from Tinsletown and Documented December Daily to create an inside out card, the from and back are blank with all the details inside. There is more information on my blog.
Clare

All elements used are from Sarah's Santas workshop kit...love it!

These are a set of gift card holders using various Sarah Hurley Christmas Designs.
I mixed a little bit of everything just to give a layered design!

We look forward to seeing your projects - you have until midnight on 30th December to enter - just click below to submit your link!
