Make a Wish!

Happy Tuesday everyone! It's Ria here today sharing another card project :)

I have a number of embellishment from Sarah and decided to make use a combination of them for a card project.

I cut strips of patterned papers for my background, just enough to bring  colors in my white card base. I then added another patterned paper to put the main embellishments - the felt flower and butterfly as my focal point.

To add some color, I stamped the leaves and fussy cut them, then tucked it behind the felt.
The rest of the flowers were arranged randomly around the card.

Very easy to do which I think can be reproduced easily.

Flamingo love

Hello everyone! It's Ria here today.

I'm sharing a card project today using Sarah Hurley's A Few of my Favourite Things July - Tropical Favourites kit.

I fell in-love with the pink Flamingo the first time I saw that in the set, what a better way than to do highlight her in today's project.

So here are a quick look of the supplies I used

One thing I love above Sarah's kit is the that it includes a Snip 'n' Stick sheet with great print images ready to use in just any project. I love combining different collection to make as embellishment. See how I can just select the element I wanted to use?

I used one of the journaling card with life is beautiful already printed on it. I just added a white embossed sentiment from the July's Add-on Exclusive stamp. Love the chalk board look of that journal card.

I then took a pink paper and emboss the piece with hearts from the Be Mine collection. 

Adding a clear embossing powder add some texture to a plain paper piece. 

Love how the clear embossed piece add life to a plain paper.

I also cut the paper strips I'll be using for my card background. I also used a paper from the Neopolitan set. Love that Love print background :) Just perfect for my pink flamingo love.

I assembled my card pieces: my paper strips, embossed journal card, and my cut embellishments.

I just arranged the rest of the cut pieces in the main card, popping them with some dimensional. Fussy cutting may be a challenge to some but I find it therapeutic? Cutting those small sections of the flamingo just makes me concentrate on what I do, keeping my mind off to stress. Love fussy cutting, or is it just me?

So here's a detail of the arranged pieces. Makes me smile :)

Snapshots - card project

Hello everyone!

It's Ria here today. Can you believe we're already half of January 2014? I hope you are all having a great time getting inspirations from the new Sarah Hurley 365 blog. I'm amazed with the mix of talents being shared here.

For today, I'm sharing my card project using one of my favorite mini vintage camera stamps from Sarah's kits. I have used these cameras in a number of cards already and still can't get over it til now. Maybe because I love photography and camera images just keep me close to this hobby of mine.

To start off, I alternatively stamped the cameras on a kraft card stock, that plays as my card background.

I then stamped another set of the cameras and colored them with promarkers, then fuzzy cut them to be used as my card's focal point.

To ground the set of cameras, I used the wood veneer frame and oh the vintage camera came from Sarah's A Few of my Favorite Things Kit.  The other polaroid camera I also got from Sarah's add on kit too. That open frame just fits two of the cameras in place and I popped them up using dimensions.

I stamped the geotag from Stamp & Stitched! Expedition stamps while the pretty in pink twine is from the East Village kit. I added the chipboard stars from Sarah's kits as well.

Challenge 62 - Steampunk

Hi there, Claireliz here with this weeks challenge.

The theme for this week is:

Steampunk

I used Sarah's Steampunk CD & the Gadget Gears Alterations die to decorate this little printers tray. The cogs are cut from chipboard & the Steampunk papers.

Inside the tray I've used the Steampunk papers & lots of little embellishments

The pocket watch on the back is coloured in with Promarkers & mounted on a chipboard circle.
