Challenge 73 - Autumn

Hi everyone, Emma here with a brand new challenge for October and my challenge for you is:
AUTUMN

We're really looking forward to seeing all your lovely autumnal projects and should you need any inspiration, then here's some fabulous creations that the Design Team have made.

I used the brown spotty paper and the "Autumn"wording all from the gorgeous new, Farmer's Market kit. I printed Autumn onto acetate and then used this in my die cut aperture window. I added a huge handmade flower, which I coloured myself with Distress Inks and some die cut leaves to complete my autumnal card!

Autumn printed on acetate and made into a die cut aperture window

I used the Back to School kit to make a cd mini book. Details can be found on my blog.

Nicole
I used the new Farmers Market collection to create an Autumn themed computer desktop background.

Claireliz

I created a little woodland scene using an old tin with an acetate lid that once contained chipboard letters & Sarah's Storybook Collection. I've used foam pads to create dimension inside & outside the tin.

I used the Farmers Market kit to alter a chalk board. Details can be found on my blog

Sharon

I made a note holder with this wooden hanging block. The owls and branches are from Woodland Whimsies2 and the leaves from Farmer's Market. I used the alphabet cubes from Curio.

Clare

I used Farmers Market to create this autumnal scene, I have 3d foamed the trees to add some dimension to my card.

I've used Farmers Market and some alpha tiles from Scrapbook Basics to create a digi scrapbook page.

In this altered frame I used  Farmers Market, Curio,
and Documented 365 lines. I also used a little bit of  Hydrangea Hippo
florals along with Prima. Blessed accent was drawn out by hand and
then cut out with swivel knife.

You have until Sunday 28th October at midnight (GMT) to submit your entries, all the winners will be posted here next month...so, good luck everyone and see you again soon!

The theme this month is Something Magical! and here is the inspiration from my lovely Design Team...

I have made a "Happily Ever After" card. I used papers from Fairyland and Oz. The Images are from Sarah's Storybook kit. The full details of which papers I used are on my blog.

I decided I wanted to capture a fairy in a Jar, I've seen them all over the internet for years and thought how pretty they look and Sarah's Fairyland Kit was just ideal for this, more info on my blog :D

I made this ATC wall hanging using papers from Witching Hour adding black and orange glitter for a bit of magical shine!

I have used Sarah's spooktastic Witching Hour Digi Kit for my twirly pop out card.  As you open the card, the Magic Spell turns to Witches Brew!!

Ive used Sarah's Fairyland CD to make a card with the elements and papers, full details on my blog :-)

I have altered a tiny mini book using the Fairyland CD to create a little wish box with a little fairy inside to grant your wishes! Full details can be found on my blog!

I've altered a little tin using Sarah's Fairyland Collection

I've made a shaker twisted easel card. The grey circle paper and Harry Potter image is from Sarah's Wizard School mini kit....love it!!

Challenge 71- Alter Something

Good afternoon all, how are we all today? This month it's my turn (Clare) to choose the theme and I have decided to choose something I've never done before...

ALTER SOMETHING

I have to confess I'm super excited about this challenge and I'm just bursting to see your entries. If your looking for some inspiration or just fancy a wee nosy please check out our wonderful design team projects below.

I've made a mini album from a piece of faux leather, some fabric and 4 coasters.  The papers I've used are all from the Retro Home cd collection. More details can be found on my blog.

Claireliz

I've altered an extra large Moleskine Cahier notebook using Sarah's Say Cheese collection

I have used the scrummy new Retro Home Collection CD to alter my Mum's note cube (She didn't mind me hijacking it - honest!!!)

I have used the retro home collection to alter this door hanger.

Sharon

I've altered a canvas using the Doodle Dolls Collage Pack. Great fun!

To make my "photo memory box", I altered an old chocolate box which I first painted with acrylic paint before covering it with this gorgeous polka dot paper and some embellishments, printed out onto paper and acetate, all from Sarah's Say Cheese! Digi Kit.

I used a plain A-Z book that was navy blue, and made it into a telephone book.  I used papers and embellishments printed onto paper from Sarahs Brittania CD.  I added a crown to where it is in a phone box and a gem for a door handle.
Nicole

I altered a little trinket box from a small ornament. It was very dark and dull before but was a fun shape and had a very cute opening. I painted it a pale blue and then used papers from the Retro Home kit to give it a cute overhaul!

pretty amazing projects don't you think?

We have now changed over to a monthly challenge blog so you have until Sunday 26th of August to enter (see post below regarding the change)

Sarah is our fantastic sponsor this month so you'll be in for a real treat! and as well as our usual top 3 we will also be picking a winner from anyone who's entry uses or incorporates Sarah's products for a special goody bag - not to be missed!

You can find all of Sarah's products here.

Winners will be posted Wednesday 29th August

Goodluck and hope to see you all again soon.

A Little Change! Sarah Hurley Challenges goes monthy!

From this weeks challenge our challenges will be monthly, we've made this decision for a few reasons...

1. It gives you more time to work on your projects - so many people say to me they just missed the challenge because they got caught up with work / family etc... we're here to help! :o)
2. It gives us more time to bring you fab inspiration!
3. We can offer prizes for different categories - from now on entries using or incorporating Sarah Hurley products will be eligible for another prize as well as the main top 3 (yay!)
4. We can talent spot and ask some of our winners to join us for a one month guest position contributing a project to the challenge blog

5. this is the biggie!! we are bringing you something new and fabulous launching on the 3rd September and we are working flat out to achieve this - you're going to LOVE it!! Keep a look out here on the blog or over on my Facebook page for more news!

Everything else remains the same, you still don't have to use my products (unless you would like to be considered for the additional category) though of course we'd love to see what you can do with them! You can make any creation you like be it a tag, card, scrapbook page, altered art, ATC or even cross stitch! and we will still be having lots of fab sponsors and prizes!

Thank you all so much for entering the challenges, we just love to look at all your work and hopefully this extra time will mean we will have even more of your fabulous creations to look at!

If you have any questions just leave them here in the comments and I'll answer them

This months challenge will be up later today :o)
