Decorated Ref Magnet - DIY
I was keeping some bottle caps to use for some craft projects and thought this is the time to finally make use of them. I have small papers and embellishments that usually lays around after doing a project. Most times I keep those that I think will still be useful as accents or scratch piece to try out some stamping before making them in big areas.
This decorated ref magnet is a fun project to make and definitely uses my scrap paper piece to create another fun piece of art. Here's a quick look in the supplies I used
I then colored the black & white drawings with Promarkers and added some Wink of stella for some shimmer fun. I also stamped the plain piece with the mini-stamp set and also cut some small piece of embellishment to add on the top of the cap as decor.
And the finish decor
Now at my refrigerator to hold some reminders and things to do :)
This is it for now and till next time!
Supplies used:
A Few of my Favourite Things - Tropical Favourites
A Few of my Favourite Things - March kit
Butterfly embellishment
Others: Flat top bottle caps, magnets, glue, extra strength glue
Promarker, ink pads, Scallop shape die

Washi tape love.
As promised I said I'd show you a really easy and fun way to make your own washi tape like the bits I've used on the front of my mini album.
So lets get started.....
You'll need a piece of tissue paper, I kept all of mine from the monthly kits so I have quite a bit. Try to choose a piece with as few wrinkles as possible (I've been known to iron it) and lay it out on some news paper, scrap paper or anything which won't matter if it gets inky which it will, and spray randomly. Don't do this on your bare table please! Several colours together are good for some funky colourways.
Leave it to dry somewhere. I lifted mine up and hung it by the corners from the washing line but if you do this be very gentle with it as the tissue is extra delicate when wet. It's a good idea to leave it flat for a while then try lifting it once some of the excess ink has seeped into the protective under layer.
Once it's dry turn it over to the reverse side and add strips of double sided tape. Try not to get any wrinkles in the tissue when you do this.
Cut out the strips.
Now stamp some of your favourite designs onto the tape. I've used a mixture of border stamps (Zendoodle Borders and Bits) larger stamps and mini stamps. The numbers are from the Zendoodle Alphabet set and the words are from a kit club stamp which I masked off as I went along so as just to capture the part I wanted.
Those larger stamps can be used too and in fact are good for doing several at one time like the Woodgrain here.

Altered Clipboard
Morning all. Hope the weather is good where you are. I’m hoping it’s gorgeous and sunny in Cornwall as that’s where I will be when you read this post, enjoying a nice little holiday :-)
We have a fabulous challenge of Favourite Things this month (click the button on the right to go and read all about it). For me I find it so very hard to chose favourites of anything as I’m such a ditherer, but I have a bit of a thing for the colour grey at the moment so I combined that with another fave of mine….making to do lists and used Sarah’s fabulous AFOMFT kit papers to decorate this clipboard.
I have put off decorating this for quite a while as I knew I would get carried away and want to embellish it which would end up making it vey impractical to use. Sarah’s papers are so pretty and perfect for this as it looked fabulous without the need to add anything else.
The clipboard was painted with several coats of yellow acrylic paint and then sanded at the edges and inked with Weathered wood Distress Ink. The papers were stuck to the clipboard with PVA Glue. Lastly adding the ribbon right around the clipboard using Hi-Tac tape and tying a bow at the top.
Supplies:
- A Few of My Favourite Things Kit (Ribbon and Paper)
- MDF Clipboard (a bargain from a Pound Shop, think it was supposed to be a bingo board)
- Yellow Acrylic Paint
- Glitter Glue
- PVA Glue
- Hi-Tac Tape

Mini Card Fun!
Nicole here today to share a fun project using the journaling cards from the May A Few of my Favourite things kit. I love the journaling cards but as I have said previously I am not a documenter so I love finding new uses! I also had a bunch of those long narrow cards, 10.5cm wide and 21.5cm tall - and I struggle to make anything with them. So put the two together and you get really cute mini cards!
I then just had fun combining the cards and sentiments on them. Some I combined to make background paper....
