Party Invites

I thought I'd share my creation for this month's challenge today, as you know the theme is Celebrate as we're celebrating 4 years since Sarah Hurley Challenges began, so what better way to celebrate than to have a party.
Having a child in primary school means I get a fair few party invitations coming home in my daughters school bag, sometimes several in one week *sigh*
But I never get any handmade ones so I thought I'd have a play around and see what I could come up with...

I started by cutting a piece of yellow cardstock to 6x4 inches, then cut some of the turquoise paper from one of Sarah's AFOMFT kits slightly smaller so that you can see a border of the yellow card behind it. I used some Bakers Twine & Hot Pink Washi tape for bunting, just cut strips of washi tape, fold in half over the Bakers Twine & cut a little triangle out of each one, I attached the ends of the bakers twine to the back of the turquoise paper so they will be hidden from view, then I attached the turquoise paper to the yellow cardstock.

I coloured the Princess Girl Doodle Doll stamps using Promakers (Blush, Dusky Pink, Vanilla, Mustard, Lemon, Rose pink) and attached her to the card using 3d foam pads, then using Sarah's Block Alpha stamps - these ones are my favourite alpha stamps ever - I stamped the words "you are invited" onto scraps of coloured papers from various AFOMFT kits, I cut each one out, inked  the edges with Black Soot Distress Ink & attached  them with 3d foam pads, as a final touch I doodled some borders around the edge of the card & paper and then sprinkled some little sparkly stars over it & glued them where they landed.
The details of the party can be written on the back of the yellow card.

Well that's all from me, thanks for stopping by.
Hope to see you soon
xx
