Hello everyone!
It's Ria here and I'm so excited to introduce you to our April challenge theme:
"Stitching"
Sewing is very close to my heart and I enjoy doing other craft projects that involve sewing or stitching.
For this month's challenge, go and apply a stitch or stitching in your project, this can be faux, by hand, or machine stitched. We would love to see how you use them.
Here is my take
For my card, I hand stitched the three bokeh hearts to highlight them and paper pieced my doll's dress.
I also used a number of products from Sarah's shop:

Faux sewing using Sarah's Stitch and Doodle stencil/mask/template. All papers are from various 'My Favourite Things Kit', totally in love with this colour combo. Fairy and butterfly stamps are from my latest stamp set called Garden fairy

I couldn't resist this bright paper and circle stamp from this month's AFOMFT kit. Don't you just love the colours! The sentiment is from the same kit. I crocheted some flowers with embroidery thread, trying to match the colours on the paper.

This is my Project Life card for week 11 where I've used actual stitching to add interest. On Tuesday I'll be sharing more of my pages here so call back for that.

Faux sewing on a card using papers and elements from the All Sewn Up kit with the
addition of some pretty buttons.
For my card I have used the stamp set Special Edition Fun of the Fair by Jaine Drake, then I paper pieced the layers of the merry-go-round and the buntin. I added faux stitches around the outside edge and on the flag and canopy.
(Make sure you call back on the 10th for my Spotlight
showing you how I created the card)
I used a mixture of papers from a selection of Sarah's AFOMFT kit, along with Sarah's Picture This Stamp Set to create this scrapbook layout, I hand stitched the large red circle using back stitch.
For this card I have used Jaines' stamp set 'Tweet Tweet', stitched around the two love birds and also stitched the layers to the backing felt. The papers are from AFOMFT kit from October 2013, and I managed to sneak in a doily from my favourite coffee shop!.

I decided to make an altered A5 "Spell Book" using this month's AFOMFT Printable Kit, how awesome is the kit this month? Skulls, rainbows, moustaches and too many other things to mention! I coloured the doodle sheet in using Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I stamped the new Voodoo Doll Stamp and coloured him in with Pros & Flexis. Full details are on my blog.

Here is my faux stitiching project. Now the summer is here (well, nearly!) I've be inspired by all things summer/spring like. Bunting immediately sprang to mind when I thought of faux stitching - so that's what I've made. I used the gorgeous papers from Sarah's All Sewn Up paper pack for my bunting and hand drew the stitch lines and string.
