The Little Book of #Dogstagram Part 2

Hello there! Claire S back again here with the second part of my #Dogstagram book.

The book I've used is one of Sarah's Daybooks, and I've used a selection of all of the papers and journaling cards from Sarah's AFOMFT kits, along with her Everyday Sayings stamps. The photos in the book are all Instagram prints and the book is all about Bailey my badly behaved ginger Labrador (his fur is very ginger now he's older, these photos are from 2013 when he was still a pup)

Bailey seems to like to lie in front of my craft desk, he likes to help, but in reality I can't get to the desk "Hey Mum, can I help you in the studio today? I promise I won't slobber on anything and I'll watch where my tail is wagging"
And on the next page the walk around the park was obviously enough, he was fast asleep in the front seat of the car before we got home.

Caught again with the shoes! Grampa's this time, thankfully these ones didn't get chewed to pieces...yet!
Bailey wasn't to keen on the snow either "What's all this cold stuff? My tail is froze, my little paws are froze and my nose is froze....brrr chilly!"

Bailey likes playing hide and seek, especially when he's chewing on something he shouldn't be, the thing is, it's not easy to hide when your a huge ginger dog, but I did finally get a picture of him chewing something that he was allowed to chew... a large doggy bone.

Bailey does have a tendency to follow me around, he hides in the cupboard under my desk, and runs off with my dressing gown "Erm, oh, is this your dressing gown? Sorry Mum, I thought it was mine. It's pretty snuggly though."

There are also times he thinks he's a cat, he has a real thing for balls of yarn "Hi mum, I found this ball of wool, will you teach me to knit please?" And after a long day doing doggy stuff what more could a tired dog want than to curl up on the sofa...

This final page is my favourite one, the first photo is Bailey chilling out on the conservatory floor, trying to cool off after a walk.
The second photo? Well, I'll let Bailey tell you about that one "Hehehe,I pinched mums camera and took a couple of selfies, wonder what mum will say when she finds them on her phone teehee!"

And there you have The Little Book of Bailey. I found this one quite easy, mainly as all of the photos were the same size and all of Sarah's papers co-ordinate beautifully even though they're all from different kits. I started the book by sticking my papers and photos in first and then added the doodling and journaling, Finally came the stamping, stickers and Thickers for titles, I was going add embellishments but the book was so thick by this point so I thought I'd leave it as it was. It's a fab little book and a great record of all his mischievous puppy days, I'm sure I'll forget just how much trouble he was when he was a pup (I always do lol)

Thanks for stopping by today, keep checking back for inspiration from all of the team and we've got our new challenge coming up later this week, so stay tuned :)

Hope to see you soon.

The Little Book of #Dogstagram

Hello there, how are you?
Happy Bank Holiday Monday!!

It's Claire S here with a mini book, I don't usually do mini books, I tend to get stuck about half way through, I think I've got about 7 unfinished ones knocking about somewhere, but last year Sarah sent me one of her daybooks and I thought, "oooh", then I thought "aah" an idea had formed, then I thought, "I need photos" so that was that for a while, anyhow, a couple of weeks ago I had all of the photos I needed so I grabbed my big box of Sarah stash and got to work and here it is....

Bailey's #dogstagram Book....

I wanted to keep a similar style throughout the book so that it all went together well, so for each page I used a small amount of Sarah's patterned papers, a selection of journaling cards from Sarah's kits and her Everyday Sayings stamp set...

I also wanted to use my Instagram photos of Bailey so that all the photos would be the same size and shape (I really do have OCD issues lol)
The journaling on each page tells the story from Bailey's point of view, and he thought that "I'm Bailey the Dog & this is my story" was a good place to start.
Bailey was pretty befuddled on his first day in his new home, which is to be expected and he was only 8 weeks old but he was very interested in what was going on, he couldn't work out what the squeaky burger was all about though... "my first day in my new home, my new family have given me a burger that squeaks"

I can't believe how tiny he was in that doggy bed, within weeks he'd outgrown it then chewed it to pieces., He was also the same size as his bear - which has since been chewed to pieces.
I've used various stickers and Thickers for my titles on all of the pages.

As you can see in the next picture this puppy likes to sleep, he found a spot in the corner by my chair - "I found a quiet corner to curl up and snooze in, I was snoozing in mums knitting bag on the cardigan she was knitting but she moved the bag so I couldn't climb into it anymore" And the the sneaky boy made himself at home on the sofa.

This next page is one of my favourite pages in the album, these are 2 of my top ten Bailey photos and the "For the love of Bacon" stamp is pretty appropriate, although I do know that it wasn't bacon he'd just eaten. The journaling reads " I don't know what that was I just ate, but it sure was tasty"

The naughty pup also has a thing for peoples slippers, these ones belonged to Hubs (please note use of the word belonged - the slippers have since been chewed to pieces - there seems to be a theme here)
One thing Bailey is good at is posing, but he refuses to look at the camera... "I will sit like a good boy whilst you take my photo but I'm not going to look at the camera"

I hope you've enjoyed browsing through my mini book, I'll be back with the second half of it on 31st August.
Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again soon.

A little pink book :)

I love to create mini books and among my favourites is this one using one sheet of paper to fold it. Instructions for folding your own can be found quite easily on the web.

Anyway, this little mini contains a few of the pictures I took recently of the House Martins who live each summer on our house in their mud nests. We love having them but they do make quite a mess so my husbands answer to that was to build shelves underneath to catch the poop. This year, however, they've decided to build more nests but away from the shelves so it looks as though we'll have to put up some more.

As I said before the book is made from a single sheet of 12 x 12, this one is from the March kit which is still available to buy in the shop, the embellishments too are from the same kit.

I punched out the circles from the snip and stick sheet and coated them with Glossy Accents to create a shiny finish, then layered it up along with everything else with sticky foam pads.

I loved the little doodle stamps which went with the kit and used a few of them around the mini.

I hope you enjoyed looking at it as much as I did making it.

Don't forget to join in the blog hop if you haven't yet. See the post below.
