Challenge 81- All That Glitters Is Gold

This month it's Candice's turn to pick the challenge and she chose 'All that Glitters is Gold' we are looking for your lovely metallic gold or glittery gold projects, I've loved seeing the DT's interpretations and I can't wait to see yours too!

Here is some inspiration from my lovely DT...

Glitter, glitter, glitter!!! I used tons of sparkle and shine to go along with my princesses. They are surely full of all things that glitter. I adore Sarah Hurley Oz line and used that as my background. I added some tid bits from one of the wonderful kits which came with the most cutest stamps. With a few added layers but still keeping this page clean and simple it surely highlights my little girls!

Nicole

I used the Large Texture Stamp - Crackle to create my glittery gold embossed background on my tag. This stamp is superb! All the other elements are from various Sarah Hurley kits. I used gold distress stain on the background of the tag, and I also used it on the seam binding to turn my white seam binding gold!

I used the text from Sarah's Mini Texture Stamps with Gold Sparkle embossing powder to make the hearts and borders.  Layered them with gold pearl card and gold mirror card to create an easel card.

I used the Jar stamp from the "Odds and Ends" stamp set and the "Fan'tache'tic" stamp from the March "Few of My Favourite Things" Kit to make this card"

I made a tag using the Dream A Little Dream set of stamps and for my contribution to the All That Glitters Is Gold challenge, I used gold gilding flakes on the background and sprayed the handmade roses with Rich Gold Cosmic Shimmer spray, to give them a shimmery gold effect.

I used a lot of the stamps from Sarah's fab stamp set Wish Upon A Star, some gold embossing powder and two gold mica powders.

On an 8x8" card, I have used Sarah's mini textures stamps to create the background, using distress inks, gold embossing powder and also gilding flakes. Then made the decoupaged items using Sarah's Doodle home stamps and more gilding flakes. In the top left corner I couldn't resist adding some gold thread and used Sarah's Stitch & Doodle mask from the last months kit.

For my background I used two Sarah Hurley stencils, Chevron and Groovy circles along with some gold foil and seize glue.
I stamped the stars from the Wish upon a star stamp set and heat embossed in gold. On my blog I have a couple of closer pictures.

I have used Sarah's Rose stamp set along with Distress Ink, Mica Powder, Washi Tape and Sequin Waste to make a card.

Claireliz

I altered this photo frame using Sarah's Wish Upon a StarDream a Little Dream & Be Amazing stamp sets, I also used cream paint, 2 shades of gold embossing powder & have put some glitter in one of the little bottles from Sarah's embellishment packs.

Clare

I have used Sarah's Elephant  PI stamp and the sentiment is from the Dream A Little dream set.

Ria

Ria used gold glitter to embellish the feather for her card

Ian

I decided to use the Book worm kit, because I thought it would go well with the book templates I had. I used two of the character embellishments and one of the Book Worm embellishments to make the “Good luck with your Exams” keepsake.

Tania

Tania used a stamp from the 'A Few of My Favourite Things... kits and one from the Odds and Ends set and a die cut to create this stunning card!

Natalie

I used papers from Sarah's Favourite Things Kits.
Stamps used are: Mini Textures Stamps and arrows,
I printed doodles from Art Journalling Kit onto acetate.
Embellishments used are: chipboard stars coated in gold pen & gold glitter glue,  acrylic chevrons, craft ephemera kit, It's a man's world embellishment kit, and camera wood veneer shape . The yellow mist is Sarah's sunflower spray sprayed onto shiny bazzil basics card.

I used Sarah's Wonderland kit with UTEE to make a pretty gold keyring.

I used papers from Bookworm and I Love Paris and Wish Upon a Star Girl stamp set to make this decorative ATC hanging.

Hi everyone, Nicole here to announce the new challenge. This months challenge is all about 'Shades of Blue'! A few of us on this team seem to have a love of all things blue, and shades of blue. So we are celebrating it, let us see your projects including lots of blue!

There is some fantastic inspiration from the team, including our new guest and team members!!

Meet our fabulous guest designers

I used paper and image from the Oz digi kit, the sentiment I made up on the computer. The image was coloured with promarkers and added sakura pen for the glitter. Dark blue card was from my own stash.

I used Serif Craft Artist and the Gatsby by Sarah Hurley digi kit. I pulled on some materials and cut them with the digi scissors. I made a frame out of the Art Deco blue embellishment and popped in my picture. I then used some more embellishments to finish of the project.

                                                                             Elaine

I used Gatsby collection, I placed the greeting on a journaling tag in Craft Artist software, then printed this and the matching papers onto card. I placed the greeting journaling tag on 3D tape for dimension. I used pearls as the only embellishments for my CAS card.

I used Sarah's fabulous Mini Textures Stamps and Faded Jeans Distress Ink to create my background and octagon embellies (which have been glazed).  I repeated the process to make my topper and then stamped the Top Hat from the Love and Marriage Clear Stamp Set.

Lisa
