Challenge 56 - Sponsored by Limited Runs Digis - Colouring

Thank you for joining us for our last challenge of 2011! This week we are lucky enough to be sponsored by Limited Runs Digis a fab company with some really cute digi stamps and accessories, please pop over to their website to check them out! The theme this week is Colouring - whether its promarkers, pencils, paints or inks, show us your latest colouring creation - we can't wait to see, the deadline for this challenge has been extended over Christmas so you have plenty of time to get your entries in! The winner will receive their choice of 4 Limited Runs digis.

Here is the inspiration from me and the Design Team

I wanted a little break from making Christmassy things so  I used the Limited Runs 'Morning Glory' digi coloured with Promarkers, with some of my Tinseltown Papers (these papers are for life, not just for Christmas!)

I used Sarah's Tinseltown houses & Santa stop here sign, along with the 'Santa's Stuck' image from Limited Runs digi range to make a wall hanging, I coloured them all in with Promarkers & glued the chimney pot images (complete with Santa stuck in the chimney) onto the  houses. I used red & bakers twine to hang them together
I added white Stickles to the roof & chimney pot to make the snow all sparkly.
Elaine
I used a mix of papers from Tinseltown and Oz and the 'House 1' from Limited Runs digi I coloured with Flexmarkers to make a CAS new home card.
I've used 'Fairy Catcher' from Limited Runs but given her a snowflake to catch, the papers are some of my favourites from Sarah's Tinseltown CD
I made a digi Scrapbook page using lots of elements from the Tinseltown CD ROM and also the fab digi image Snow House and of course a picture of my mad puppy!
Jaine
I chose 'Brill' by Limited Runs as he's so cute and the words from the elements section of the Tinseltown CD just went perfectly with him. I chose to make a page in my Christmas journal to show them off.
I had so much fun with this challenge. I decided to go for a non Christmas digi from Limited Runs and I chose the lovely little 'Dragons Nest' I wanted to do something different so I decided to do a picture frame.

Jess
I have used 'Catching a Snowflake' from Limited Runs and used card and papers from my stash.
I have used 'Snowman #2' from Limited Runs and combined it with some gorgeous backing paper from Sarah's Tinseltown CD, punched holly leaves and some die cut snowflakes.
I've used a cute image called 'Little Tree' from Limited Runs and teamed it with some fabulous papers and embelishments from Sarah's Tinseltown CD to make another last minute Christmas card.
Clare

Challenge 55 - *Sponsored by Letraset* - Christmas

This week we are lucky to be sponsored by Letraset! and this weeks theme is Christmas, and the prize for 1st place will be this gorgeous set of Spring Promarkers, perfect for all those lovely New Year cards!
Here is all the gorgeous inspiration from me and my Design Team...

I used the Snowglobe shaped card base from the Tinseltown CD, added some distress ink to the edges and used some of the Digis which I coloured with Promarkers and layered with 3D foam, adding some stickles for sparkle!
 Claire C
I made a shaker Christmas decoration made using Sarah's cute little reindeer digi he's coloured with promarkers and derwent pencils
Jess
I've used Sarah's Tinseltown CD for the Poinsettia Backing Paper and Ponsettia Wreath, which I have decoupaged and coloured with Promarkers.

I used Sarah's Christmas tree, patterned paper & With Love sentiment from the Tinseltown CD to make this cute little tag. The tag itself is made from corrugated card that was destined for the bin, I saved it & recycled it :D I coloured the tree with Promarkers, added blue Stickles to the blue baubles & Glossy Accents to the other coloured baubles to make them shiny.
Jaine
I used images from the Tinseltown cd and used gesso to paint white "snow" on the rooves, adding some glitter for a bit of sparkle.  I used Promarkers to colour all the elements.
Elaine
I used your papers, and Igloo Digi and Bingo card from the Tinseltown CD. I coloured with Flexmarkers, and covered with Glamour dust glitter.
I made a wee card using the yummy Tinseltown papers, layered onto white. Added a wee image from my stash coloured from promarkers, some sizzix swirls, candi, ribbon, lil sentiment and lots of glitter to finish
Nikki
I loved this little Robin of Sarah's so coloured him in with Promarkers and gave him a little bit of a glittered tummy too.
Clare
I used the christmas cheer house stamp which was then coloured using my Letraset Promarkers.Stitching was done using my letraset fine black liner.
I've gone digital! I wanted some easy to produce Christmas cards, so on the computer I've layered up some gorgeous backing papers and an embellishment all from 'Tinseltown' and then printed onto smooth white card. To this I've added a 'Digi Stamp Boutique' image coloured with ProMarkers to match the background, a dab of Stickles and a drop of Glossy Accents. Very little cutting and sticking means quick cards!
We look forward to seeing your projects - you have until midnight on 11th December to enter - just click below to submit your link!

Challenge 52 - Misting

This weeks challenge is a technique challenge - Misting! Sprays and mists are a huge trend right now and one of my my most popular products so we thought we'd give you lots of inspiration to use in your misting projects and be inspired by the projects you share with us! You can make your own mists using mica powder or perfect pearls and water if you don't have any to hand.

Some of the Design Team have been a lot bit naughty this week and used a product that is unreleased just yet and noone except them have seen - I love that they love it so much already! so you will find some sneak peeks in here of my new Christmas CD Tinseltown (more to come over on my blog soon along with release details - it will be available very soon, we are just waiting for the delivery!)

So here are all of the projects....

Claire C
I love these little houses and trees from the new Tinseltown CD (the first sneaky peek!) they are coloured with promarkers and glittered. The background is created with acrylic paint and loads of pearl glimmer mist. I couldn't resist adding one of the little houses from Tinseltown too (you can make a whole village of these!)
I made a wee card using my mist spray as the background and layered up the fab wee Tinseltown images (sneak peek number 2!) to make a little scene! Coloured with promarkers, added lots of glitter and gloss to finish

Nikki
I used elements from Sarah's new Halloween Digi Kits

I used a backing paper from the Christmas Cheer CD, over stamped with a flourish and embossed in gold and mat and layered onto some brown card stock misted with bronze and orange mica sprays and a cute little teddy bear santa.
Jaine
I made a journal page.  To create the distress effect on the background, I sprayed Sarah's Green ink through a stencil and while wet, blotted it off again with some paper towel.  It blended into the background really well I think.
I used a Tim Holtz die to cut the cogs from chipboard then layered them up & glued them onto the box, then I  covered this old chocolate box in PVA glue & tissue paper then sprayed with Sarah's Sepia Spray ink, I worked the spray into the cover with a foam brush to cover the whole area & it created different shades of sepia as it went over the whole surface.
I then dry brushed gold & silver paints over the raised bits to pick up the detail of the chipboard cogs, I added some metal washers & a large pendant from an old necklace to the centre & added a Grungeboard keyhole which was also spayed with Sepia Spray ink.
The inside of the box is covered with black paint & paper from Sarah's Wonderland Collection.

Jess
I made a type of box card and made my own mister with water and mica powder in a spray bottle to make my sky.  The trees and robin are from the Christmas Cheer CD.

Clare
I used Sarah's teal in spray to create a background.I then stamped Sarah's cocktail and mitten stamp onto the background, cut, matted and layered with white cardstock and oodles of stickles. Cheers girlies! lol
Elaine
I used Wonderland cd for tag and misting ink from Sarah. Used a butterfly stencil then painted with mica paints so the gold shines in the light, then added gold ribbon with fibres to the handle and used the Alice image from the Wonderland CD as a tag.
To make this tag, I used elements and papers from Sarah's Wonderland CD, together with some items from my crafty stash. I then made the dimensional paper rose by punching out some flower shapes from white card and then misting them with a combination of Sarah's Tangerine and Valentine Ink Sprays.
I used Sarah's Teal Spray Ink to completely cover the Pink Paislee Mistables Paper. I sprayed some canvas with Sarah's Sunshine Yellow Ink.  I sprayed the flower with Sarah's Poppy Red, Pumpkin and Sunshine Yellow Inks.  The black droplets are from Sarah's Black Ink that i dropped on by unscrewing the mist bottle.
The yellow drips are acrylic yellow ink and the yellow brushstrokes are acrylic paint.
We hope thats given you lots of inspiration and that you enjoyed the (naughty!)sneaky peeks of the Tinseltown CD! You can get hold of any of my products used above from my shop.
We look forward to seeing your projects - you have until midnight on 30th October to enter - just click below to submit your link!
