Garden Fairy

Hello everyone! It's Ria here today.

I'm sharing a fun card using the Special Edition Stamps -Garden Fairy by the  uber talented Clare Brown. I was able to use most of the elements in the set and glad to see how it works well to create a happy and bright card.

For the main image, I stamped the cute fairy in white cardstock and colored it with promarker. After coloring, I added a Wink of Stella Clear glitter pen to give some shine without overdoing it.

Noticed the bright papers? I got them from the Tropical Favourites kit, love the cheerful colors of the kit :)

I stamped the banners in different inks and fussy cut them. I added them on top of the card panel for some additional dimension and texture too, don't you love the different patterns of these banners?

I think the stamp set will be great also for a fairy theme birthday invitation, an accent for a tag or as the stamp of choice for girl's scrapbook page.

So here it is, a look at the full card

And the details

That's it for today and we'll catch up again soon!

Decorated Ref Magnet - DIY

Happy Saturday everyone! It's Ria here today.

I was keeping some bottle caps to use for some craft projects and thought this is the time to finally make use of them. I have small papers and embellishments that usually lays around after doing a project. Most times I keep those that I think will still be useful as accents or scratch piece to try out some stamping before making them in big areas.

This decorated ref magnet is a fun project to make and definitely uses my scrap paper piece to create another fun piece of art. Here's a quick look in the supplies I used

In photo, I already die cut the scallop shape circle but you can also do a simple circle by tracing the cap and cutting them free-hand.

I then colored the black & white drawings with Promarkers and added some Wink of stella for some shimmer fun. I also stamped the plain piece with the mini-stamp set and also cut some small  piece of embellishment to add on the top of the cap as decor.

Here's the assembled pieces, at the back I put a smaller cap in the middle to hold the magnet. I use a strong adhesive to glue them down.

I also put a gray strip in the side of the cap for a more polish look in the sides. Here with the magnets

 And the finish decor

Now at my refrigerator to hold some reminders and things to do :)

This is it for now and till next time!

Supplies used:
A Few of my Favourite Things - Tropical Favourites
A Few of my Favourite Things - March kit
Butterfly embellishment
Others: Flat top bottle caps, magnets, glue, extra strength glue
Promarker, ink pads, Scallop shape die

Flamingo love

Hello everyone! It's Ria here today.

I'm sharing a card project today using Sarah Hurley's A Few of my Favourite Things July - Tropical Favourites kit.

I fell in-love with the pink Flamingo the first time I saw that in the set, what a better way than to do highlight her in today's project.

So here are a quick look of the supplies I used

One thing I love above Sarah's kit is the that it includes a Snip 'n' Stick sheet with great print images ready to use in just any project. I love combining different collection to make as embellishment. See how I can just select the element I wanted to use?

I used one of the journaling card with life is beautiful already printed on it. I just added a white embossed sentiment from the July's Add-on Exclusive stamp. Love the chalk board look of that journal card.
I then took a pink paper and emboss the piece with hearts from the Be Mine collection.

Adding a clear embossing powder add some texture to a plain paper piece.

Love how the clear embossed piece add life to a plain paper.

I also cut the paper strips I'll be using for my card background. I also used a paper from the Neopolitan set. Love that Love print background :) Just perfect for my pink flamingo love.

I assembled my card pieces: my paper strips, embossed journal card, and my cut embellishments.

I just arranged the rest of the cut pieces in the main card, popping them with some dimensional. Fussy cutting may be a challenge to some but I find it therapeutic? Cutting those small sections of the flamingo just makes me concentrate on what I do, keeping my mind off to stress. Love fussy cutting, or is it just me?

So here's a detail of the arranged pieces. Makes me smile :)

and the finish card..

That's it for now. I'll catch up with you again soon!
