DIY note cards

Happy Saturday every one! It's Ria here today.

For my project share, I did half a dozen of 3x3 note cards using two stamp sets, Cupcake & Be Mine sets, both from Sarah Hurley.

I have been keeping these 3x3 note cards for some time in my stash but didn't know how I will be consuming them all with those bold colors. A better way then is to do some decorations and just play with the stamps I already have.

Just a quick look on the supplies that I have used:

I cut the patterned paper a little smaller than my 3x3 card base and also die cut vellum with a circle die. I wanted to have my main stamped images to be my focal point and vellum will keep part of the pattern paper to be subdued in color.

I then stamped random images from the two stamp sets. I used the big ones here, cupcake, party hat, typewriter, some of the leaves and the jar.

I colored the images with promarker. For the cupcake, I did it two ways, one was paper pieced (pink frosting) while the other was colored with promarker (purple frosting), just trying out some variety.

For the rest of my stamped images, I colored them with promarker.
Here's what I got with all the images, ready to be used.

For the base, I added a strip of fabric tape for some texture and grounding of the image. I just inserted the vellum over the fabric tape to hold it in place.

I also stamped part of the envelope with the same chosen images used also in my main card.

Then, I assembled the images and put each a bow while the other two with wood veneer x for some fun texture. I keep the image offset in the left as I don't want them to be too centered, just keeping a little playfulness in the layout.

A closer look to one of the note card, assembled..

That's it! I can now use any of these whenever I need to, for a birthday, an occasion, or just to write a note to someone, just because.

Supplies used:
Be Mine Scrapbooking kit
Special edition stamps - Cupcake by Jaine Drake
Be Mine stamp set
Resin Neon bow
Veneers from kit
3x3 blank Note cards and envelopes
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Vellum, fabric tape
Promarker

Until next time!

Love card

Happy Saturday everyone! It's Ria here today.

June is the month when weddings happen most so I thought I make a wedding card to celebrate love.

I think Sarah's Neopolitan kit fits the bill don't you think? I love the the soft, neutral color of the collection plus the paper patterns just works with a general themed project too.

I cut my background paper to a standard card size and also cut a smaller sized vellum that I used in the middle of the card to give texture. I also took a thin white lace to use. I just thought of lace whenever I hear bridal gown so here it is.

The love birds stamp is from Sarah's Be Mine stamp set. I colored them with Pastel promarkers. I also follow the color of the wooden arch to match the paper colors.

Here I have die cut the the papers in two colors, one with its designed part and the other with the darker full color to give contrast. The lace comes on top of the die cut pieced.

I haven't done project life yet so instead of using the photo corners for photos, I used them here in the stamped image to emphasize the frame.

And here's the finish card.

And a closer look

Supplies used:
A Few of my Favorite Things - Neopolitan
February Documented365 Kit
A Few of my Favorite Things - Happy
Be Mine stamp set
Memento Tuxedo black
Promarkers

So there's my card project for today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Stamp Catalogue...

Good Morning, It's me Claire N, and it's my turn to share with you today.

How do you store your clear stamps? They are a fabulous way for sure to collect them, and I have begun to store mine on A4 sheets like this

This may be familiar with some of you, but I find I have a dilemma on how to catalogue them for quick reference. I do stamp the card insert included when they arrive, because it has Sarah's branding and is the most gorgeous duck egg blue. But I did want to do something a little more inventive.

I took some supplies, not too many, and decided to use the journal book from Sarah's shop as my new 'catalogue'.

Next question, which stamp set am I going to start with first? It could quite easily have taken me a week to decide, so I went with my newest purchase, and Sarah's latest stamp release from the Be Mine... range.

Taking a number of small scraps of Sarah's design papers that I had stashed away, I arranged them on the double page spread on the first pages of the journal. The journal is so pretty (you'll have to get it to see !!) but each page has a different one of Sarah's designs printed on it, so the back drop to each page is already there for you.

I then used Sarah's two newest stamps sets
I used every stamp from both sets. I stamped some straight onto the page, and others I stamped, coloured (with watercolour pencils), fussy cut and decoupaged to the page.

I added some hand written notes and doodles, that may act as prompts in the future if I'm having a design block.  These pages show the stamps used in one way, of course, but it is also a fabulous visual reminder of the sets you have, and may hopefully entice and inspire you to continue revisiting them and to try out new ideas and colourways.

Thanks for stopping by today, I would love to see and hear suggestions on how you store your stamps.

Visit again here at http://sarahhurley365.blogspot.co.uk/, there is much more inspiration on its way from the rest of the team.

Thanks for stopping by.

Be Mine!

Hi all,

Nicole here today to share an A4 digital page with you all. I have been making plans to make a digital photo book using the many photos I have for a while now. I thought it would be nice to have some digital layouts mixed in with just the photos so I have been trying to get into scrapbooking! I have used the adorable Be Mine kit for this page. I have worked with a photo we took on our wedding anniversary in July last year...just a tiny bit delayed :D

I off set the image on the top right corner and added in lots of 'layers' to give a cluster of embellishments effect. I love this cluster effect and it is quite easy to do in Photoshop too.

This kit is gorgeous for Valentines Day but also for any other time you want to celebrate love. There are also papers in the kit that I would use for birthday cards etc - so versatile! Thanks for stopping by today, hope you enjoyed.

Be Mine New digital kit

Hi folks it's Tania here with my DT spot. Today I have decided to use the new

I don't know if you are aware but it is so simple to drop it into Craft artist and you have your very own digi kit.
You will need to drop the papers embellishements etc into the correct folder.
When you have finished using it to create your project make sure to save your kit and it will be there to use again.
I have created a card and then decoupaged images on to it, to create a wedding or anniversary card ,but would also be ideal for the love of your life.
So Happy Valentine's day for tomorrow
I have used the 3d decoupage button in Craft artisit to make the journal card look stepped.
I cut out the top two layers with the love birds on and applied with 3d tape.
To create the embellishment I fussy cut the feathers and heart ot added 3d tape and finished off with glossy accents.

I added  glossy accents to the birds and little hearts and finished off by using an heart shape punch to add 3d element to the big hearts.
(I have added the grey paper and the lace from other elements I had)
Give it a try I love using digi kits , to create my own cards and the kit is also supplied with 5 SVG cut files to use on your own cutting machines.
So thats all from me today make sure you check out the shop for other digi kits.
Hugs Tania xx
